Detailed 6-Day Safari Itinerary
Experience the ultimate Northern Tanzania camping safari with detailed day-by-day wildlife adventures
Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
0830 Hrs: After your breakfast; depart from Arusha to Tarangire National Park for game drive. Famous for its large herds of elephants and iconic baobab trees, Tarangire offers incredible wildlife viewing opportunities.
1300 Hrs: Stop at the Picnic Site for Picnic Lunch.
1400 Hrs: Continue for evening game drive to return in the evening for dinner and overnight at Twiga campsite.
Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park
0830 Hrs: After your breakfast; depart from you to Lake Manyara National Park for game drive. This compact park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, diverse ecosystems, and incredible birdlife including thousands of flamingos.
1300 Hrs: Stop at the Picnic Site for Picnic Lunch with stunning views of the lake and surrounding landscape.
1400 Hrs: Continue for evening game drive to return in the evening for dinner and overnight at Twiga campsite.
Day 3: Lake Manyara – Serengeti National Park
0800 Hrs: Transfer from Manyara to Serengeti National Park for game drive. Experience the world's most famous wildlife sanctuary, home to the Great Migration and incredible predator action.
1300 Hrs: Break for lunch which will be served at the picnic area with panoramic views of the endless Serengeti plains.
1400 Hrs: Afternoon game drive in the Park to return in the evening for dinner and overnight at Seronera Campsite.
Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
After breakfast leave with your lunch for game drive on the Serengeti Park acacia Savannah in the central to the east region. This full day allows you to explore different areas of the park and maximize wildlife viewing opportunities.
Around 12.30 and 13.00: Break for your picnic lunch in the heart of the wilderness, surrounded by the sights and sounds of Africa.
Thereafter proceed with tour afternoon game drive then late evening drive to the camp for your Dinner and overnight in Seronera Campsite.
Day 5: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater Rim
Wake up at 0600hrs: For early morning game drives in Serengeti to catch the wildlife at their most active time, when predators are hunting and the savanna comes alive.
At 0845hrs: Back to the lodge. Then check out and drive with lunch and game viewing en-route to Ngorongoro Crater Rim.
Optional: It is your option whether you will pass via Olduvai Gorge the archaeological site - the "Cradle of Mankind" where some of the earliest human fossils were discovered.
Dinner and overnight at Simba Campsite on the crater rim with spectacular views.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha
Descend in to the Crater for 6 hours Crater tour. This 100-square mile natural amphitheatre is host to an astonishing array of wildlife and you may be lucky enough to see rhino, elephant, lion, buffalo as well as large herd's zebras and wildebeest.
The Ngorongoro Crater is often called "Africa's Eden" and the "8th Wonder of the World" due to its incredible concentration of wildlife in a volcanic caldera.
A picnic lunch will be taken in to the Crater. Later in the afternoon drive back to Arusha.
